What we process and why

What we do not do
- We do not record your video or audio conversations. They go directly between participants or through a relay server that cannot store them.
- We do not store your text chat messages; they are passed on to your chat partner only.
- We do not sell your data and do not use advertising trackers.
Automated moderation
A nudity-detection model runs in your own browser on your camera image and on the image you receive. These images are not sent to us, unless nudity is detected or you report someone: then a single still image is sent to us as evidence. Automated detection can lead to a temporary restriction of access; you can ask for human review at W.vanderkraats@icloud.com.
Who receives data
- Your chat partner receives your video, audio, messages and your IP address (needed for a direct connection).
- Our hosting provider Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany). When a direct connection is not possible, video is forwarded through our own relay server at Hetzner, which does not store it.
- Law enforcement, where required by law or to report child sexual abuse material.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to processing, or ask for restriction, by writing to W.vanderkraats@icloud.com. You may also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
Browser storage
We store one random identifier in your browser's local storage. It is strictly necessary to keep the service safe (enforcing bans) and is not used for tracking or advertising.
